Energy Facility Siting Council to meet March 14

SALEM — The Oregon Energy Facility Siting Council will continue its deliberation on an appeal in the Saddle Butte Wind Park contested case at its March 14 meeting in The Dalles. The Council will review and consider a draft order prepared by Oregon Department of Energy staff at the Council’s direction, and may issue an order on the appeal and alternative request by the U.S. Department of Defense.
Other items on the agenda include: • Brush Canyon Wind Facility: The Council will receive a presentation and review the draft proposed order for the planned wind farm in Wasco and Sherman counties. • Siting application process: The departments of Energy and Justice will provide an overview of the siting application process.
