ODOE Convenes Oregon Energy Strategy Listening Sessions on July 31

The Oregon Department of Energy is convening several opportunities to learn about and contribute to the development of the Oregon Energy Strategy, including a morning and evening Listening Session on July 31. The Oregon Energy Strategy will outline potential pathways to shape an equitable clean energy transition that meets the diverse needs of Oregonians and considers a range of factors, including impacts to the environment, public health, affordability, the economy, and jobs.

Public input is crucial in developing an inclusive, informed, and effective Energy Strategy. The July 31 Listening Sessions will help identify key questions to model and help evaluate the tradeoffs of different energy pathways to 2050. The modeling results will inform policy discussions that will take place early next year. The public is also welcomed to attend upcoming Focus Area Working Group meetings, and the full schedule of meetings is available online.
