Oregon Climate Action Commission Invites Public Input on Natural & Working Lands Fund Investments
The Oregon Climate Action Commission invites the public to provide input on potential future investments in natural climate solutions.
Members of the public that are interested in or practice implementation of restoration, land management strategies, and land protection in Oregon are encouraged to submit comments. The Commission is particularly interested in input regarding:
How would you prioritize the criteria listed in HB 3409 (Section 54 (3))
For each of the below categories, which items are of the most interest and what factors should be considered?
Natural climate solutions activities, such as estuary restoration or reforestation
Types of investments, such as technical assistance, landowner incentives, or research
Geographies, including locations like a region or county, or types of land, such as peatlands, urban, or rural
Public input may be submitted through the Commission's contact form online or by email by 11:59 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2025 will be shared with Commissioners in full and in summary form.
At a future meeting of the Oregon Climate Action Commission, the Natural and Working Lands Fund state agencies will present a draft portfolio of projects. The public will have a future opportunity to comment on the draft portfolio. Meeting information will be shared in advance.
